Nice options education and its great for the majority of basic options investors. The one thing this video doesn't discuss is when the options market makers steal premium by walking way from the bid and keeping a larger bid and ask on options spread.

Approval criteria varies from one firm to another, but most firms approve for level 2 options if you are experienced at trading online and have a reasonable source of income. There is no minimum cash balance required to trade options, but some brokers require a minimum to open an online account in the first place.

Do anyone know how much money you need in your account to be approved for options level 2 (long calls + covered calls) at Scottrade or E*trade?
